Five for Friday and a Summer SALE!!!

Hi teacher peeps! I'm linking up with Doodle Bugs Teaching for her Five for Friday weekly linky party.  Summer is in full swing, but somehow I can't get away from the TEACHER in me.   It's a problem!!! Haha!

First off, I'm having a sale to celebrate SUMMER and my amazing Instagram followers!!!! All items in my store are 20% off through tomorrow.

I just love my teacher Instagram account.  If you don't already have a IG account, I highly recommend it.  It's one of my favorite ways to connect with teachers all over the country and world.  It's pretty amazing!!!!!!

My newest product, iSchool Back to School Pack, can be found in my TPT store.  I will be teaching a 3/4 combo class this upcoming school year.  Most likely I will have some of my students from last year, so I need to switch up my Back to School activities.  I created this product to align with my love for technology and to spruce up my usual stuff.  I'm super excited to use it with my students!!!  I will use InstaMe and iGoals for bulletin board displays.

I also have been updating my classroom decor.  I decided to stick with black and white, but ditch the zebra print that I've used for the last few years.  I'm switching from zebra print to stripes, polka-dots, and hearts.  I call it "Black and White with POPS of Color"!!!!!

Here are the classroom library labels I made.  They're based off Accelerated Reader.  However, there are editable pages that can be customized for any reading program.

Like many of you, I've already been sucked into the Back to School sales.  I've stocked up on pencil boxes, 2 pocket folders, markers, flair pens, and some cute decor items.  Most of my finds were at Staples.  They had similar prices compared to Target, but I had a 15% off coupon.

Thanks to the amazing Jessica over at The Teacher Talk .... I also got this 10 drawer cart from Big Lots for $22!!! I've been wanting to get rid of my BIG, ugly, bulky classroom desk .... This will be perfect to keep me organized.

I also found this adorable chalkboard at Home Goods.  My mom bought it for me.  Love her!!! I plan on hanging it somewhere in my classroom .... maybe on the corner of one of my bulletin boards.

 Finally, here's the cover and back cover of my teacher planner this year.  There are SO many amazing teacher planners out there!!! I'm always tempted to buy one, but I haven't splurged yet.  I have my own weekly lesson plan template that I've used for years, so I simply make a new cover for my binder to switch it up.

Thank you Doodle Bugs Teaching for hosting!!! Head over to her blog to check out this fun weekly linky party!!

Happy Mid Summer,

June "Almost Summer" Currently!

Hi my teacher peeps,

   Of course I'm linking up with the always fabulous Farley for her monthly "Currently" linky party.  This one is especially fun because it reminds me how close I am to summer break.

* Listening -
   I never get sick of Sex and the City reruns.  So funny!

* Loving -
   Countdown to summer break!  Only 9 more work days to go!  Super exciting!

* Thinking -
   I'm almost done with my end of the year check off list .... report cards, cumulative files, gifts, placement cards, inventories, cleaning, organizing, parties, Sports Day, etc.

  These are the portfolio covers I made for my students.  I bind most of their BEST work (mostly writing and art samples) into a book.  It's a great culmination present.  My students always love looking through them.  I'll be blogging more about all my end of the year events, activities, and projects soon.

* Wanting -
    I could really go for a cold, refreshing margarita.  Gym or margarita??? Hmmm ... it's a toss up!  It's so dang hard to be good.

* Needing -
    I need to wrap LOTS of little gifts for all the people who help me during the year.  There are so many people (like my amazing classroom volunteers, aides, and coworkers) who truly make my life so much easier.  They help to make my students successful and ensure that they have a FAB year!!!

Bath and Body is always a great go to!  Right now, they have a bunch of awesome beach and summery scents.  I got a bunch of hand soaps and mini candles.  I whipped up the tags below to go with this summer theme.  Click below to grab a FREE copy!
* Summer Bucket List -
    Of course, I will relax and play with my family and friends.
    I want to work out.  Usually, I don't work out much over summer because I'm having too much fun, but this summer I really want to stick with it.

   I want to redecorate my room.  I get most of my inspiration from the incredible Melanie over at School Girl Style

I'm thinking I'm going to go with one of her newest collections ..... I Heart School!

Super cute!!!

Happy almost summer!!! I know a lot of my blogging friends are already on summer break. Thank you for sharing all your cute ideas on how you survive this time of year.

Don't forget to head over to Farley's blog to link up.

Five for "Teacher Appreciation" Friday!

Happy Teacher Appreciation Week my peeps!!

I'm linking up with Doodle Bugs Teaching for her fabulous Five for Friday Weekly Linky Party.  Yay! What a fun week to share 5 random things!

Teacher Appreciation Week was amazing!  I have the best PTA!  They are thoughtful throughout the year, but they ALWAYS out do themselves during this special week.

Not only do I have the best PTA, I have the best room mom.  She's amazing!  This is what I came to work to on Monday morning.  My class knows me so well.  Two of my most favorite things .... sports and tech stuff!  Perfection!

 I had to include a picture of my coworker's "Sweet as Can Be" door as well.  Adorable!

 Flowers! Supplies! Treats! Food!  I was completely spoiled this week.  Yummy cupcakes, new gel pens, post-its, colored paper, wipes, my favorite Mr. Sketch Smelly markers, and a fresh flower lei!!! So sweet!

Favorite Day!  Today was favorite day where my students brought in all my favorites.  They gave me this beautiful basket filled with gift cards to my favorite stores and goodies.  Beautiful!!

 Mother's Day is right around the corner!  My students have been busy, busy, busy these past few weeks.

First, they made a Mother's Day card.  This can be found in my TPT store ... Sweet as Lemonade: Mother's Day Crafty Card.

 After the cards were made, I recorded my students' voices reading their cards aloud.  Vocaroo is an amazing website that lets you create a QR code linked to an audio recording.  My students' voices sound so sweet sharing special thoughts and memories about their moms.  Adorable!!!

Then, my students created a watercolor drawing of a lemonade stand.  These came out super cute!  I took pictures of my students holding a mason jar filled with lemonade.  I cut and glued their picture on their artwork.  I also glued their audio recording QR code in their cards and on the back of their artwork.

Finally, I updated one of my first products this week ... Parts of Speech Mini Posters & Sorting Game.  To celebrate the end of Teacher Appreciation Week, this newly revised product will be FREE in my TPT store ALL day today (Friday, May 9).  Enjoy my teacher friends!!!

Even though we have the hardest job in the world, we have the best job.  I appreciate all of you.  You inspire and challenge me.  I love our blogging world.  It keeps me current and passionate about what I do.  Happy Happy Happy Teacher Appreciation! I hope your week was as GREAT as mine!
